The original Greenwich Harbor Motor Lodge was built in 1961 as an investment by a New York based real estate group.  The hotel was known for many years as The Showboat, a reference to the actual Mississippi Riverboat that was moored in the harbor next to the property.  As a budget, limited service property, The Showboat became a popular local site, full of numerous tales populated with very colorful characters.

In 1989 the hotel was purchased by Lexington Hotel Corporation and was repositioned into The Greenwich Harbor Inn.  While still maintaining its mid-market status, the improved property achieved exceptionally high occupancies, becoming a local favorite offering wonderful value to both business and leisure guests alike...more
